Cold wave coming......Will gas detectors freeze?

Winter is cold and dry, which is prone to frostbite, poisoning, slip and fall and other personal injury accidents, bringing certain impact to enterprise safety production. In particular, the onset of cold wave can cause a wide range of strong cooling, often accompanied by high winds, rain and snow, which can seriously lead to frost, frost damage and other natural disasters. So, can the gas detectors installed outdoors still work normally? Will it be broken by freezing?

1. Install a rain cover
 
Install a rain cover for the instrument to protect the instrument from rain/snow in rainy and snowy weather, effectively avoiding water damage to the instrument, thus extending the service life of the instrument.
 
2.Reinforce the glass cover of the instrument
 
Checking the glass cover is a routine maintenance work for gas detectors. In rainy and snowy weather, maintenance personnel should strengthen the frequency of inspection. If the glass cover is not fastened in place, tighten it when there is no liquid infiltration inside; if there is liquid infiltration inside the glass cover, the instrument should be stopped and dried quickly, and if the calibration data is abnormal after power is turned on again, the instrument should be sent for inspection and maintenance.
 
3. Timely maintenance
 
If the instrument is affected by special weather and manual operation errors, such as water ingress and immersion, the staff should inspect the instrument in time, and if the instrument is found to be abnormal, it should contact professionals or return to the factory for repair.
