So, how to deal with the underground garage carbon monoxide concentration exceeds the standard? Is it necessary to install gas detectors?
In and out of the underground garage to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning
Underground garage carbon monoxide production mainly from the car engine. When the engine is idling, due to insufficient combustion of petrol, a large amount of CO will be produced in the exhaust. Underground car parks are closed environments, vehicles in and out more frequently, the exhaust emissions are not easy to discharge, it is very easy to accumulate a large number of CO gas, resulting in car parks filled with pungent odour, damage to human health. Therefore, the underground garage should be set up with carbon monoxide monitoring system, and equipped with air supply and exhaust system, with fresh air for replacement.
The Solution
Working Principle: Set a high ppm value (30ppm), when the CO gas detector measures the CO gas concentration reaches the high ppm value, the gas alarm controller outputs a relay normally open contact, and opens the exhaust fan through the intermediate relay.
Set a low ppm value (20ppm), exhaust fan running for a period of time, when the CO gas detector measured CO gas concentration reaches a low ppm value, the controller original normally open contacts disconnect, through the intermediate relay and time relay delay 5 minutes to stop the exhaust fan running.

1.carbon monoxide detector
On-site carbon monoxide concentration detector can be multi-point real-time detection of carbon monoxide concentration value in the garage, the data will be uploaded to the controller centralised display. Carbon monoxide detector should be evenly dispersed in each fire partition, each partition set 4-5 points (according to the fire partition area and other timing considerations) is appropriate.
2.Gas Alarm Controller
Gas alarm controller is used to centrally display the carbon monoxide concentration value of each monitoring point. At the same time, the controller is associated with the exhaust system, when the carbon monoxide concentration value exceeds the preset alarm value, it can automatically alarm or control the start of the exhaust system.
3.Linkage fan
The fan is linked by the controller to automatically start the fan when the carbon monoxide concentration exceeds the standard; when the carbon monoxide concentration returns to normal, the fan automatically stops.
Functions of carbon monoxide monitoring system:
